The comparison to a quirky liqueur is perfect, actually captures what made that era of Nintendo special before 'accessible' became synonymous with 'sterile'. The Wiimote's limitations somehow worked in WarioWare's favor, the constraints forced creativity in ways that later, more 'capable' motion controls never quite matched. Also think the longevity critisism misses the point, some expereinces are meant to burn bright and brief rather than grind on indefinitely.
